New Buffalo Motorcycle Accident Lawyer Files Berrien County Lawsuit

Our New Buffalo motorcycle accident attorneys recently filed a motorcycle accident lawsuit on behalf of our 46 year old male client who suffered serious injuries on Buffalo Street. He was lawfully proceeding West near North Barton Street in the right-most of the two Westbound lanes. Suddenly and without warning, a Jeep that was traveling in the lane next to our client merged into our client’s lane and hit him.  The negligent driver was issued a ticket for careless driving.

Michigan law requires a driver to keep a proper lookout while driving and making sure it is safe to turn from a straight line before attempting such a maneuver.

Our client suffered injuries from the New Buffalo motorcycle accident and has received numerous treatments for those injuries.  His injuries include multiple fractures of his left leg, sprained ankle, and bruising and abrasions of his shoulder, elbows, legs and knees. He was rendered unable to work for approximately four months as a result of the accident,

We filed a lawsuit in Berrien County Circuit Court seeking damages for pain and suffering from the at-fault driver.  The lawsuit also seeks payment of medical expenses and wage loss from State Farm Insurance Company who are obligated to make payment of these benefits under Michigan’s No-Fault Act as the auto insurer of the negligent driver.  No trial date has been set by this Court.
